Re-Draft is an annual competition for teenage writers. It is open to all, not just those who are working on School for Young Writers programmes.
Each year we publish a book (Re-Draft 2001, Redraft 2002, and the more simply titled Re-Draft 3, Re-Draft 4, and so on) containing the best entries received.
The competition and successive publications are funded by income from the books. The continuance of this opportunity for teenagers is dependent, therefore, on sales.
For this reason we do not publish the competition entry form except in the back of the current issue of Re-Draft, and we do not post the entry form out to prospective contributors.
Copies of the latest edition of Re-Draft are available from educational and public libraries, from booksellers and from the School for Young Writers.
Intending contributors are strongly advised to read at least the previous year&s collection to familiarise themselves with the standard of writing that is likely to be successful.
