Master Class: Lyric Writing
This lyric writing workshop with singer-songwriter Lisa Tui will be a hands-down-and-go process. Students will learn and practise techniques designed to draw out their lyric writing abilities, utilise traditional song forms and structures to shape their stories and begin the process of learning about music and rhythmic patterns.
Purpose: To guide young writers/musicians through the starting points of lyric writing: form, structure and rhythm.
Tutor: Lisa Tui is a singer- songwriter and a singing teacher. She is co-curator of the Freakin’ Awesome Songwriters Clinic and sings like an angel. Lisa’s workshops with Write On are renowned for being inspirational and tremendous fun.

Schools: limited to 5 places per school

Can’t play music? No worries –this workshop is mostly about the words.
Can play music? Brilliant! Students are encouraged to bring an instrument to help their words become songs.
All of our Master Classes are fully supervised with Health and Safety information provided.
