Lisa Tui is a singer-songwriter and singing coach. Her workshops are hands-on and full of music and laughter.

Tania Roxborogh is a writer of over 30 books, most for teenage readers. In 2021, her novel Charlie Tangaroa and the Creature from the Sea won the supreme award, the Margaret Mahy Book of the year.
Tania is also a secondary school English teacher and Shakespeare enthusiast. She is studying towards a Masters degree in Māori Studies.
Desna Wallace is a librarian, blogger, book reviewer and writer. She loves short form writing, verse novels and teaching young writers.
Your Summer School 2023 Workshop Tutors
Claudia Jardine (she/her) was born in Te-Tihi-o-Maru in 1995 and lives in Ōtautahi Christchurch. In 2020 she published her first chapbook, The Temple of Your Girl, with Auckland University Press in AUP New Poets 7. Recently, Claudia was awarded an Arts Four Creative Residency in The Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora, where worked on her first collection of poems. She has had poems published in youth journals, not-youth journals, magazines, zines and websites, and her debut folk pop EP North is available online.
Heather writes novels for young readers as well as flash fiction. She is the recipient of three Storylines Notable Books Awards, winner of numerous flash fiction awards and still struggles with poems that want to be stories! Heather loves working with young writers and is the director of Write On.
Gillian St Kevern
Gillian realised she wanted to be an author when, as a teenager, she got annoyed that the characters in the books she read didn't do what she wanted. Now she's a writer, they still don't. Gillian writes a variety of genres, ranging from short and silly contemporary romance, to urban fantasy and historical mystery.
Melanie Dixon writes short stories, flash fiction, novels for children, poetry and creative non-fiction. Her work has been published and anthologised internationally and she has been placed in many competitions She has a Masters in Creative Writing at Auckland University. When she's not writing, you can find Melanie in the great outdoors looking for her next adventure.
