Seaweek Poetry
Write a poem for the Seaweek Poetry Competition. Learn some fabulous poetry writing skills from an award-winning poet and one of New Zealand's top poetry editors! Give your poems the polish they need to shine like paua, to flicker like a fishtail, and to grab the reader with their tentacles!

Flash Flash!
Learn the secrets to writing very small fictions from an internationally recognised flash fiction writer. Write fast and furious and then finesse your work with some great techniques. Pieces from this workshop may be submitted for the NZ National Flash Fiction Day Youth competition. See last year's winners HERE.

Gail Ingram writes incredible award-winning poetry and is a much sought after poetry editor. She edits Fine Line for the NZ Poetry Society. Although she is usually found in the hills, Gail always finds time to connect with the ocean.
Heather McQuillan is an award-winning writer of novels for young people, short stories and flash fiction. She is currently part of an international collaborative flash fiction writing project with Reflex Press in the UK. Heather loves flash fiction so much she wrote her masters thesis on the form.
