Scramble
up the trunk
Yell
"I’ll beat you”
Slip
on a bird’s nest
Tumble
through branches
Plummet
to the hard ground
Snap
your radius
Some things to notice about this poem.
This poem was created by first building a list of seven ways to climb a tree and picking one to develop into a poem. We used lively verbs and then searched for words that sounded really good. We decided to set our poem out in a column to emphasise the falling and also to look like a tree trunk. :)
