Warm brown eyes

begging for the

cheese in

the fridge

or a cuddle

or a trip to the beach

it doesn’t matter which one

as long as it happens.

A dog wants

to share your

warm bed

in the evening

and lick your tears

away

and press their furry body into

yours

or to run free at a park

loyal, beautiful, devoted and kind

these words

melt

together to form

living

breathing

creature.
