A Strike For What’s Right

BY JEMMA BRINGANS, YEAR 8, CATHOLIC CATHEDRAL COLLEGE

People standing

for a difference

trying for a change

you’ll die of old age

and we’ll die of

climate change

As the world gets hotter

the people get stronger

when no one takes action

we will make it happen

we are skipping

our lessons so we

can teach you one

young people and old

march together

hoping for the same change

to make life last

The sea level is rising

and so are we.

from Brazil to Mexico

to South Africa to Belgium

to here in Cathedral Square

we all want this change
